Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, many beauty brands are donating proceeds from sales to the cause. We will see pink ribbons everywhere. Pink is popular.
The
Estee Lauder Company is not new to breast cancer initiatives. In 1993, Ms. Evelyn Lauder, vice-
chairman of the
Estee Lauder Companies founded the
Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year, the Company announced its global 2010 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign,
Connect. Communicate. Conquer Campaign, Prevent Breast Cancer One Woman at a Time. Wear It. Share It. They will sell 20 Pink Ribbon products through 14 of its beauty brands (
Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Bumble & bumble,
Clinique,
Darphin,
DKNY, Donna
Karan,
Estée Lauder, Jo Malone, La
Mer, Lab Series Skincare for Men, Michael
Kors Fragrance, and Origins). The goal is to reach 2 billion people in more than 70 countries. Read more

The
Estee Lauder Company states they "are making more progress than ever and reaching more people each year with the message that if localized breast cancer is detected early, it’s 98% curable. While the American Cancer Society estimates more than 1.3 million people worldwide were diagnosed with breast cancer, the good news is that mortality rates continue to fall, and we believe this is due in part to better treatments, early detection and greater awareness of the importance of breast health. But we must continue to persist and pursue, and raise as much money for research as possible, to attain what we all believe is possible in our lifetime – a world without breast cancer."
The campaign runs through the month of October. There are a few ways you can support the cause through its
Clinique brand:
1). You can purchase a product where proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
2). When you purchase a
Clinique product, you can donate directly to
BCRF at the check out counter.
3). You can take your pledge to support breast cancer awareness.
